I'm actually happily surprised that an open world (graphics & processor stretching) game can deliver 1080p 60fps just five months after the launch of the console. The potential quality of games is going to be amazing.
This will turn things around!

@Mikelarry What Zampella's surprise at the Titanfall 1 Xbox exclusivity deal shows is that Respawn did not have a say on what platforms their game is published on, this suggests that if Microsoft & EA want the next one to be exclusive it could happen again with the sequels.
How this deal (probably) works is that Microsoft paid EA a monetary amount that more than covered the possible lifetime sales of Titanfall 1 on PS3 and PS4.

Titanfall does look like it could be fun but I don't believe all the hype that this could be a game changer for the Xbone. Microsoft paid a lot of money for exclusivity so I see why they are hyping it in every single official post including their firmware post! FOR ME I don't like the idea that it's missing a single player campaign because no matter how good a PvP battle is sometimes I want to take a break from the mum insults and just get on explore a game world.
No two consoles are exactly alike so when a developer promises 'parity' you wonder if money is exchanging hands.
The game story and design has been in development for a long time but Square Enix's had to switch to the next gen consoles which requires a learning curve and massive resources. Judging by past experience (FFXII releasing way after PS3/360's launch) they will take their time.
The other factor is that only an extended trailer has been shown. Before the release of a game there is normally months of info release to help build hype. For FFV there has been none of that so ...
I'm planning on getting this as despite the level based design there is something charming about the game world. But the release trailer proclaims "One of the best RPGs of all time!" Which is just the advertising people thinking they can get away with saying anything they want to make sales.

Microsoft already alluded to the fact that Anniversary editions will be used to fill the software drought. Halo 2 is incoming and just a couple of days ago Phil Spencer said that Fable Anniversary might be coming to Xbox One.
I read an article on Shitaku where Adam Orth was interviewed. It turned out he wasn't the devil but a regular guy who was made a scape goat by Microsoft, who should have stopped to consider their own decisions before blaming him for the bad feeling. It's odd how this issue divides gamers. Some people prefer a console designed to be a TV focused media hub, some people want a console that is focused on games. I know what I prefer!
The American copyright system is out of control. How can the words 'candy' and 'saga' be prohibited from use in the title of any non-King game? I understand the need for them to protect their brand but you can't create a game, give it a title and then claim ownership of the words you used.
People, and small independent developers should object about the abuse of the system the right copyright authorities and too Apple and Google.

More HD remasters? Come on Microsoft, sure I'd love to see a Halo 3 HD but I want you to invest in new studios to make new franchises.

3 years spent on each CoD game indicates that next-gen games need more development time and that Activision recognises the importance of delivering a product of a high standard or else lose their customers.
Hope this doesn't mean they are making a 'parity' version of the game.
